If you are looking for an event to explore vegetarianism and its many wonderful animal-free delights, then check out the New York City Vegetarian Food Festival on Saturday May 20 & Sunday May 21 from 11am-6pm at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Manhattan!
This event, focused on growing vegetarian and green markets, features a variety of speakers, cooking demos, a long list of exhibitors and even a kids area to keep everyone happy and engaged during the festival.
This event not only promotes a healthy, environmentally friendly and animal friendly lifestyle, they are also holding a U.S. Veg Corp raffle where all profits will be donated to The Humane League. The Humane League works to reduce animal suffering through information, inspiration and education.
Some notable speakers to check out would be chef and owner of the four-time Vendy Award-winning vegan food truck the Cinnamon Snail, Adam Sobel. Board-certified internal medicine physician and Assistant Professor of Medicine at NYU School of Medicine, Michelle Mcmacken. Obesity survivor and long-term vegan, Victoria Morgan. Harvard trained, dual Board Certified Physician in both internal and integrative Medicine, Robert Graham.
