Want a great foodie event to go to this weekend? Our pick is The Joy of Sake, this Friday, September 19, 2016 at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea from 6:30 to 9:30pm. Sake is alcoholic beverage that is highly celebrated in Japan. Unlike most wines which ethanol is produced form fermented sugars, sake is produced by a brewing process from rice which gives that smooth delicate taste that is beautifully paired with the simplest to the most tasteful dishes of Japanese cuisine. The Joy of Sake will be honoring 408 sakes in the Big Apple, with about 200 sakes that normally unavailable to the U.S or even to most Japanese--making it feel like a once in a life time experience! Some of the best Japanese restaurants of New York will be present and a good variety of appetizers will be served with the sake to offer a taste of Japanese culture.
