Top 4 Healthy Lunches: Midtown West Edition
Tis the season (New Year's resolutions anyone?) for lots of salad, green juices and other healthy delicious food! Midtown West is home to many corporate headquarters so if you work in the neighborhood here is a list of healthy lunch options!
1. Blue Dog Kitchen Bar | 308 W 50th St between 8th and 9th Ave.
This is a great little cafe with tons of healthy options, it’s great for take-out or a quick casual business lunch. Their tuna salad below is a must try!
2. Reviver | 934 8th Ave. between 55th and 56th St.
This casual cafe is all about defining “healthy meals” and have a licensed nutritionist to help create their menu. Their four principles are ‘balance, nutritious, pure and clean’. Below is their awesome Mahi curry dish!
3. Dig Inn Seasonal Market | 40 W 44th St. Between 5th and 6th Ave.
It’s hard not to love the concept behind Dig Inn Seasonal Markets! With several locations throughout the city they can be easy to find. They specialize in sourcing local seasonal foods and cooking them in the healthiest ways possible. With their menu constantly changing you won’t get a boring lunch here! Here is a picture of how they serve their foods where you get to choose 3 different options.
4. Green Symphony | 255 W 43rd St. between 7th and 8th Ave.
This is probably my favorite option on this list. Green Symphony has a hot and cold buffet, salad bar, tons of healthy wraps to grab when in a rush, smoothies, acai bowls, etc! It is a family run establishment and they really take a lot of pride in the food they serve as being delicious and nutritious. This is one of my favorite items they sell, the “Tofu Mani bowl”!
