If you're in a panic to decide what to do for Father's Day, don't fret!

 

The guys over at In Vino in the East Village are doing their "Summer BBQ" edition of Sunday Gravy and will also be featuring this for Fathers Day.

 

Sunday Gravy is their 3-course tasting menu ($25) + bottle of wine ($15). The Summer BBQ features, Carolina Ragu (because the sauce resembles a Carolina BBQ sauce) paired with a bottle of Primitivo.  It's really delicious, and an incredible deal for the city.

House Cured Bresaola - Spring Giardiniera and Parmesan  

Carolina Ragu - smoked pulled pork, peperonata and smoked gouda. 

Tiramisu della Nonna (Grandma's Tiramisu)

 

Also our favorite Jimmy Carbone will have whole roast hog "lechon" at the reopened Jimmy's No 43! The "Lechon" is a Filipino-style whole roast hog will be served up especially for Dad this Sunday, June 21st, for an all-you-can eat Father's Day lunch.

 

For only $25 per person, you'll get unlimited pork in a special sauce with Filipino Atchara house pickle slaw (beverages available for additional purchase). The Lechon whole pig is a special order item on our new menu that debuted this week as part of a new kitchen collaboration with Chef King Phojanakong of Kuma Inn and Umi Nom. The new venture, Tito King’s Kitchen at Jimmy’s No. 43, is serving up sophisticated yet approachable Thai and Filipino street food.

 

Tito King’s Kitchen at Jimmy’s No. 43 will be open for business seven nights a week, with a delicious and indulgent menu that includes:

  • Pork Belly Adobo Tacos with Thai Chili Lime Sauce

  • Adobo Chicken Wings (slow braised then fried to order; the meat melts off the bone)

  • Lumpia Shanghai (Crispy Pork Spring Rolls)

  • Beef Burger with Sriracha Chili Mayo and Atchara House Pickle Slaw

  • Halo Halo Fries with Dried Bonito Flakes

  • Homemade Steamed Dumplings (Pork or Vegetarian)

  • "Gulay" Veggie of the DayAnd, of course, the special order (for group dinners of 8 or more)

  • “Lechon” whole roast pig (e-mail in advance to reserve... or come try it this Father's Day!)
