How can tourist experience real New York City food without leaving their comfort zone of midtown? The new food hall on the block, City Kitchen offers just that! Inspired by the city food truck trend, Times Square hotel ROW NYC has made room for the hottest cuisines that people crave. City Kitchen will host nine permanent vendors and rotate some seasonal must-haves!
The idea behind brand strategist, Heidi Avedisan, was to bring New York City’s most hyped food concepts right to the bulls-eye of Manhattan. Something to give tourist (and those who work in the area during lunch) a real taste of New York and stray them away from Applebee’s, Olive Garden, and TGI Friday’s. These are great restaurants but more then likely available to tourist in atheir hometowns. New York City is about experience and food is a huge part of that! It’s also likely first timers in the city won’t leave the borough, much less the neighborhood- so it’s great that City Kitchen includes Brooklyn in their vendors!
I’ve listed my five favorite’s of the opening vendors, check out their tasty menus here:
