Studies show that what you eat or don't eat will affect your mood and may help fight Depression. 

 

  1. Do Not Skip Meals- your brain needs glucose -eat your whole grain carbs

  2. Stay Hydrated-a symptom of dehydration is fatigue and a depressed mood-Drink WATER

  3. B-Vitamins- will increase seratonin levels in their body...whole grains, lean meats, nuts & legumes

  4. Keep up your Iron intake- lack of iron can cause fatigue as well as lower immune system-animal meats, and spinach

  5. Omega 3's - have been shown to help Depression- walnuts, flax, salmon
