Never Eat Another Bland Meal Again! Condiments!
Every month, I do a segment on BronxNet OPEN sharing Meals for One! dishes and tips for healthy cooking and eating! This month, I showed how healthy eating can be tasty and used some seasonal fruits to make some delicious condiments so you never have to eat another bland meal! Check out the recipes below for the salsa, chutney and compote I mentioned in the video!

Strawberry, Mint, Feta "Salsa"
2 cups of strawberries, diced
1/4 cup mint, torn
Sprinkle of pepper
Squeeze of Lemon
1/2 cup Feta Cheese
Uses:
Add to Fish, Chicken
Add to your Salad
Add to Ice Cream-Vanilla, Mint
Substitute Strawberry for Watermelon
Nutrition Rx: Vitamin C, Beta Carotene, Fiber
Mango-Avocado Chutney with Roasted Macadamia Nuts
1/2 Mango
1/2 Avocado
Pinch Sea salt
1oz Macadamia Nuts (roasted with sea salt)
Squeeze of Lemon
Uses:
Accompany any Fish particularly Tuna
Add to Greek Yogurt as snack
Nutrition Rx: Omega 3, Fiber, Vitamin C, potassium, Beta Carotene
Grilled Peach Compote with Sunflower Seeds
4 Peaches, grilled and diced
1/4 cup Sunflower seeds (salted and roasted)
1 tbsp Tumeric
Sprinkle of Sea Salt
1 tbsp lime juice
2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive oil
Heat Briefly over Low heat
Uses:
With Pork, Pork Loin
Over a whole oats Crumble
Over Oatmeal or Quinoa for Breakfast
